Braves Sign Todd Pratt

As rumored, Atlanta today signed veteran catcher Todd Pratt. Details below courtesy of the Braves PR Department:

Catcher agrees to one-year deal

        ATLANTA - The Atlanta Braves took another step towards completing their 2006 Major League roster today, agreeing to terms with free-agent catcher Todd Pratt on a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

        Pratt, 38, made a career-high 49 starts and hit .251 with seven home runs and 23 RBI for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2005.  A 13-year veteran, Pratt has a .255 lifetime batting average with 45 home runs and 205 RBI in 600 games with the Phillies, Chicago Cubs and New York Mets.
