Just What the Doctor Ordered...Braves-4, Nats-0

Ah yes, we can rest easy my friends. Order has been restored. My favorite numbers 0 and 0...0 walks allowed and 0 runs allowed. Sosa pitches brilliantly...8 innings, 6 hits, 3 strikeouts. Farnsworth finishes with a 1-2-3 ninth.

The offensive stars? Need you ask? That's right Andruw again. HR #47, 2-for-3 with a walk. McCann was more instrumental, however, on this day belting a 3 run homer.

Other Notes...
-Francoeur adds another walk to his total, AND his 18th double AND an over the fence grab to rob Christian Guzman of a 2-run home run!
-Andruw's homer (47) ties the Braves record for a single season with Hank Aaron and Eddie Mathews
-LaRoche fails to build on last night's performance and goes 0-for-4
-The six hits allowed by Sosa were all singles
-The Braves have won 12 of Sosa's 16 starts

The rubber game of the series is tomorrow. The Braves will send John Smoltz to the hill to take on Washington's Jason Bergmann, who will be making his first major league start.
