Sosa Comes Up Big Again! Braves 4, Phillies 1

Despite walking 6 batters, Jorge Sosa pitched scoreless baseball into the 7th inning tonight and allowed just 2 hits. Every time the Braves need a big game, Sosa seems to be the guy to come through.

Offensively, Rafael Furcal provided the spark Atlanta needed. Furcal picked up 3 hits tonight including 2 doubles. He also scored 2 runs, drove in a run, and stole a base. The Braves managed to get 14 batters on base tonight with a combination of 9 hits and 5 walks.

With 11 games left on the schedule, the Braves now lead the Phillies by 6 games and the Marlins by 7. I think it's safe to say, that barring a major collapse, the Braves should hang on to win yet another division title. The magic number right now stands at 6.

Tomorrow's probable pitchers are Horacio Ramirez for Atlanta and Brett Myers for Philadelphia. Game time is 7:05.
