Well it was bound to happen. We've been living on the edge with this bullpen for the last month and a half. It was going to catch up with us sooner or later.
Imagine if we had a closer like Chad Cordero? Imagine all the wins, all the early nights, all the 2 hour and 20 minute games...
What's scary is that almost nobody is pitching well out of the pen now. Ok, Boyer and Farnsworth are doing alright, but they can't go every night. Who is going to finally step up and do the job?
The lineup wasn't all that impressive tonight either except, of course, for Andruw who always seems to be driving in runs. I do have to say that it was encouraging to see LaRoche get a few hits. Maybe he can find a way out of his funk.
Alright, enough ranting. Let's just hope the Braves can put this loss behind them and move on.
