Goooo Dawgs! Sic `em! Woof, woof, woof, woof. . .

Almost, so close, just barely, by a hair. That's how close the Dawgs - Braves game was on Wednesday. Well, at least until a 5-run 6th inning by the Braves. Oh well, a Georgia boy can dream.

There were some good first impressions from this game. Oscar Villarreal and Jarrod Saltalamacchia impressed the most with two dominant innings and a two hit performance respectively. Chris Reitsma impressed, as did Horacio Ramirez, who despite giving up a first inning run, threw 17 of 21 pitches for strikes.

If you're big on Georgia sports (and by `Georgia' I mean UGA) then check out the new addition to the SB Nation, Dawg Sports. Kyle has been blogging about Georgia athletics for quite some time. His write-up about yesterday's exhibition opener can be found here.
