Jake Peavy's 16 K's were a franchise record for a Pads pitcher, and yet it was still not enough to beat John Smoltz and the Braves. Some Padre bloggers have been anguishing over the loss, as their offense has been as unreliable as ours has been from time to time.
Gaslamp Ball was at the game and actually caught a foul ball. They retell a pretty good story of how they had to forfeit the ball.
