Open Thread and NAHWAL: Braves at Phils

Who would have thought that Jo-Jo Reyes would have a 2.25 ERA? I know it's only two starts (one and a half really), but he's managed to pitch rather effectively this year. Take into account that through five starts at Richmond this year his ERA down there is only 1.17, and perhaps Jo-Jo has turned the corner just a bit. I've always liked the fact that he's a real fighter out there on the mound, and I think he's learning to be more consistent than he's been in the past. Let's hope I didn't just jinx him, and let's hope the blister that caused him to leave his last start early is no longer an issue.

By the way, the probably pitchers for the Braves says that Jurrjens is scheduled to start on Friday, so unless that changes we won't get to see old Charlie Morton. Too bad, I've always wanted to say that our rotation consists of two Chucks, a Tom, a Jair, and a Jo-Jo.

Don't forget to pick for NAHWAL. Hopefully I'll be able to stay up tonight and catch up on the points -- jet lag is still killing me.
