Braves @ Reds: A Better Start to this Series would be Appreciated

I've gotta tell you, I'm a bit excited to see all these young players that the Reds have this year; that starts with tonight's starting pitcher Edinson Volquez. Who would have thought that the Reds would have the best pitcher in the National League... and it's almost June. Volquez has been owning the league this year with a 1.31 ERA; this, after not putting up anything better than a 4.50 ERA in his three previous partial major league seasons.

2008 - Edinson Volquez 7-2 11 10 0 0 0 0 62.0 42 13 9 3 33 76 1.31 1.21

He'll be facing Tom Glavine, who is beginning to look at little shaky... especially the third time through a lineup.

2008 - Tom Glavine 2-2 9 9 0 0 0 0 45.1 43 25 24 7 25 24 4.76 1.50

I'm also excited to see these young sluggers for Cincinnati. Joey Votto and Jay Bruce, not to mention the always entertaining Adam Dunn. It should be a fun series, and while I hope to see some offensive fireworks, I do hope that the Braves end up on the winning side of these games; if for no other reason than we need road confidence.
