Francisley Bueno has been pretty good out of the bullpen for the Braves this season and he has been pretty much exactly as good as a starter. He is your classic soft tossing lefty. He doesn't strike many people out and his relies on spotting his pitches. Another note for this guy is that he is yet another Cuban defector that we have signed. This is significant because two young Cuban players (Noel Arguellez, a 19 year old LHP and Jose Iglesias, a 19 year old SS) just recently were declared free agents and with our success signing Cuban players in the past few years I think we have a shot to pick them up.

Edgar Osuna just got hammered in this game after having two excellent games in AA. I guess you can't win them all. Cory Gearrin hasn't been quite as super dominant since he was promoted from the Beach but he has only given up runs in 2 of his 7 appearances. If he keeps it up you might see him in Atlanta by the end of the year if the bottom falls out for the Major League team.

I don't see how this Myrtle Beach team is as bad as their record indicates. Well now looking at their lineup they have 3 guys in the back half of the lineup that are hitting under .200 for the season. Also not having Heyward for a month sure doesn't help much. Jose Ortegano has been absolutely filthy since the start of May with an ERA sitting around 1.10 during that time. He is only 21 at this point and has split time between starting and relieving this season so he could move up in either direction. I would guess if he moves up he will stay starting until he proves he can't anymore.

So far in 3 starts with Rome Dimaster Delgado has pretty much owend the Sally League. His ERA is .63 with only 9 hits and 4 walks allowed in 14.1IP. He is just over 20 years old right now and of course has been spectacular so far. He wasn't that great last year in the GCL, but he skipped right over the Appy Leauge to Rome this year and appears to be ready. Obviously we will have to wait and see if this isn't just the league not being adjusted to him yet, but as it is we could have a trio a good young Latin American pitchers (Dimaster and Randall Delgado and Julio Teheran). Hopefully our system can reload itself after the gutting we have done recently.
