Game 53 Recap: Brewers 4, Braves 0

More helpless offense, even with the revamped offense. But I can't blame them, Yovani Gallardo was dealing last night. He was getting two-strike swings in one-strike counts. He was making everyone look like a flailing Jeff Francoeur imitation. (Francoeur, by the way, was 0-for-3 with 2 strikeouts.)

The defense didn't help Jair Jurrjens, who was cruising until some rough spots in the 4th and 5th innings. Nate NcLouth took an 0-fer, but again, all bets are off when you're facing a pitcher who had the stuff that Gallardo did last night. With the toughest Brewers pitcher out of the way, the Braves can get back to swinging the bats and making contact in the final two games of the series... we hope.
