Game 104 Recap: Dodgers 3, Braves 4

The Braves fought through a good performance by the Dodgers starter, Randy Wolf, but they eventually got to him in the sixth inning when Greg Norton of all people drove in the winning run. The Braves starter, Derek Lowe, facing his old team, put up a solid performance, fighting through some control problems throughout the game. He got it done, though, and ended up with a quality start and his eleventh win.

Adam LaRoche had a good day in his return to Atlanta, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Chipper Jones and Nate McLouth also had two hits a piece, each time with Chipper driving in McLouth for the Braves first two runs. David Ross, giving Brian McCann a day off, struck out three times against Wolf, but lined a double to left after Wolf left the game.

I don't know how we won this game. It felt like we were behind the whole day and that the Dodgers had confidence on their side, but the Braves had some calls go their way and they put together some good work at the end of the game. The most often used bullpen guys in baseball came on and controlled the last three innings, with Rafael Soriano picking up his 16th save.

Maybe we'll have Escobar back in the lineup tomorrow and we can see a full lineup with McCann, Yunel, and LaRoche.
