Whoa there, boys and girls - almost forgot, that today's make-up game against the Dbacks has a weird, travel-conscious start-time, scheduled for 4:05 p.m. EST. The Dbacks head to Philly and the Braves head off to New York immediately following tonight's game, but (hopefully) this afternoon, they have an impromptu rubber match, settling the series that started back in May. "Hopefully," because looking outside my windows right now, there stands to be a very, very high chance that Mother Nature will interfere with today's game as well.
Anyway, if we do get some baseball in today, it's two-tone eyed Max Scherzer taking on our rookie savior, Tommy Hanson. This means Max Scherzer is pitching twice in the same series. Let's win this game, taking the series, and then go up to New York, and take full advantage of a David Wright-less Mets lineup!
Nevermind. It's just starting to pour, right this second. Hard.
