Open Thread 10/3: Braves vs. Phillies

It's been a long time since opening day, let's finish it off with a playoff berth.
It's been a long time since opening day, let's finish it off with a playoff berth.

Last game of the year cant hold anything back now! It's been a crazy regular season, so it is quite fitting that is going to conclude so wildly. The Braves win and they at least get a share of the Wild Card. If they win and the Padres lose they have it, if both win then the craziness begins. Avoiding any type of one game playoff would be optimal, of course.

The first thing they have to do is take care of business against Cole Hamels and the Phillies. Tim Hudson is on the mound, pitching the Braves biggest game of the season. Although Hudson has struggled lately, his last outing against the Marlins was impressive. Brooks Conrad is moving over to second, switching with Omar Infante. His defense the past few days warranted the decision. Charlie Manuel has told reporters that Hamels will pitch just two innings with Roy Oswalt pitching one. Let's get it done fellows, it's been great covering all of these series and posting with all of you, hopefully we can continue to do so in the playoffs.
