Winter Meetings Braves-Related Open Thread: Day 2

Several interesting possibilities were brewed up as Braves rumors yesterday at the Winter Meetings. Lorenzo Cain from the Brewers is probably the most interesting, as he would represent a possible leadoff man or insurance against Nate McLouth or Chipper Jones not contributing to next year's team. I'll reiterate my hesitance to trade for a speedster-type player, but Cain seems to have some added intangibles beyond just speed. We'll see if there's any movement on that front today.

The front that most of us hopes moves quickly is the Kenshin Kawakami front. It was rumored that both the Pirates and the Athletics had interest in obtaining the deposed starter. I wonder if the A's have gotten tired of Coco Crisp enough to trade him ... that's probably just wishful thinking. In fact, all we'll probably get from any trade of KK is a few million in salary relief.

Anyway, another day of exciting hot stove action. Use this as an open thread for meeting-related chatter.
