I'm going to put this up a little early in anticipation of today's game (provided, of course, that the weather cooperates).
I got the following note last night from the Media Relations manager at the MLB Network:
FYI, the blackout has been lifted in the Atlanta Braves' television market for MLB Network's simulcast of the Braves at Mets Spring Training game live on Tuesday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network will carry SportsNet New York's call of the game.
I had no idea there was going to be a blackout, but if you were worried about that, unworry yourself. The unfortunate part is that we'll have to listen to Mets announcers. Of course, being that there's not too many good things to say about the Mets, they may end up bashing the team more than a Braves announcer would.
Here is the expected Braves lineup:
Nate McLouth, CF
Martin Prado, 2B
Jason Heyward, RF
Brian McCann, C
Yunel Escobar, SS
Melky Cabrera, LF
Eric Hinske, 1B
Omar Infante, 3B
Mitch Jones, DH
Tommy Hanson on the mound first, followed by Jesse Chavez, Michael Dunn, Chris Resop, James Parr, and Manny Acosta.
Chipper, Glaus, and Diaz did not make the trip.
I predict the Braves will cruise early then lose the game in the ninth when Manny Acosta "does his thing."
