Spring Training Open Thread: Braves at Phillies

The Braves will send a collection of relievers to the mound, spearheaded by Kris Medlen. He will be starting in place of Tim Hudson, who will start back at Disney in a minor league game. There's nothing wrong, they just wanted to avoid Huddy facing the Phillies in back to back starts -- save if for the season, right? After Medlen will be Jesse Chavez (with perhaps his last chance this spring), Eric O'Flaherty, Jo-Jo Reyes, Jonny Venters, and Craig Kimbrel. Pretty much all the competitors for the last two spots in the bullpen.

Here is the lineup:

Melky Cabrera, RF
Martin Prado, 2B
Brian McCann, C
Troy Glaus, 1B
Matt Diaz, LF
Omar Infante, 3B
Nate McLouth, CF
Brandon Hicks, SS
Kris Medlen, P

I would imagine that the expected cuts will come after the game.

If you've read this far, then I'm guessing you're a regular reader. The old Talking Chop is looking for another writer/blogger for the season. This person would be in a three-person rotation handling the open threads and game recaps for every third series, as well as some other posts surrounding every third series. If you would like to blog for Talking Chop, and you watch a lot of Braves games, and you have the time, then send me an email with a game recap of today's game written by you. The recap can be in any style, but I'd rather it not mimic a main stream media recap; impress me with something unique. This position would be unpaid. Make sure you include your TC username in the email.
