The Braves have five days to decide what to do with pitcher Chris Resop, either call him up to the Majors or trade him. Tonight in Norfolk, Virginia, he tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out eight and lowering his ERA to 1.84. He certainly proved that he needs to be in the Majors, and he'll get his wish pretty soon. Resop needed only 105 pitches, 80 of them strikes, for the complete game.
As good as he was, he actually didn't pitch the best game for the Gwinnett Braves this year. Todd Redmond tossed a no-hitter earlier this season.
