Gwinnett 7, Toldeo 3
Ryne Reynoso had one of his best games of the season, striking out 8 batters en route to his second win of the season. Several Gwinnett hitters have been on a tear lately as Matt Young is hitting .475 with a 1.133 OPS in his last 10 games and Freddie Freeman is hitting .359 with a 1.038 OPS in that same span. Diory Hernandez has been hot since returning from a leg injury that kept him out until mid-June, hitting .357 in the 11 games he's appeared in this season.

Myrtle Beach 1, Lynchburg 6
The Pelicans only had 2 hits tonight and it shouldn't be any surprise that one of them came off the bat of Myke Jones. The athletic shortstop has been great in his 16 games for Myrtle Beach, hitting .362 with a .899 OPS, and his total season line between Rome and Myrtle Beach is impressive as well, with a .287 average and .761 OPS to go along with 7 homers and 12 stolen bases. Matt Crim took the loss, allowing 4 unearned runs with the help of errors by Travis Jones and Samuel Sime. Brett Oberholtzer made a fantastic return after 3 weeks on the disabled list and while he probably won't stay in the bullpen it's good to know he could be effective in that role.
Rome 3, Greensboro 4
For everyone wondering, no, Edward Salcedo did not play in this game. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after, but certainly soon. Patience, my friends. It was good to see Robinson Lopez come back solidly after giving up 5 runs in just 1 inning in his last start. David Hale took the loss tonight, even though he only gave up 1 unearned run. If the Braves are planning on turning Todd Cunningham into an outfield it doesn't look like it's going to happen during the season, but if he has lots of games like this nobody is going to care where he's playing on the field.
Danville 8, Elizabethton 12
The D-Braves busted out the hits tonight, but unfortunately Aaron Northgraft gave up 7 runs in 3 innings to start the game. 21 year old third baseman Joey Terdoslavich, selected in the 6th round this year, has gotten his career off to a great start, and continued that trend with a 3 hit, 3 RBI day. Evan Gattis, a 22 year old catcher who was selected in the 23rd round this year, had a perfect day with 4 hits. Daniel Falcon knocked out his first homer of the year, but also took home the Golden Sombrero.
GCL Braves 6, GCL Phillies 12
Zeke Spruill made his first apperance since breaking his hand in April, throwing a scoreless inning. After that the floodgates opened as 18 year old righthander Ernesto Silva allowed 10 runs, 8 earned, in just 1.2 innings. This year's first round pick, shortstop Matt Lipka had a great day, reaching base 3 times and driving in 2 runs.
DSL Braves 1, DSL Angels 4
18 year old catcher Elisaul Herrera hit the first homer of his professional career and he's been great in a small sample size, with a .444 average and a 1.393 OPS in 9 at bats. 17 year old Jesus Saldeno has been a bit hittable after his hot start, but he's still been very impressive. I'd love to hear the story on 27 year old Ronald Luna, not only because it's strange for a player that old to be in the DSL, but also because hitting just .204 with a .506 OPS in 119 plate apperances there last year he's made a complete turnaround with a .386 average and a .844 OPS in 88 plate apperances this year. Weird stuff.
