In the rubber game of the series, Jair Jurrjens faces off against J.D. Martin. While both pitchers have 0-3 records, their seasons have been quite different. Martin has a good 3.03 ERA (4.28 FIP) and has walked only 2 men in 29.2 IP. Jurrjens, on the other hand, has a 6.38 ERA (5.01 FIP) and has walked 11 in 24 innings.
Of course, the biggest difference is that Jurrjens has been on the disabled list since April 29th with hamstring issues. If his hamstring is healthy and he's back to his 2009 form--a big if, as far as I'm concerned--Jurrjens will provide a big boost to the Braves' playoff chances. Let's all hope for classic JJ tonight!
Here's the Braves' lineup (it's the same as the first 2 games of the series... let's hope they hit better than last night):
1) Prado, 2B
2) Melky, RF
3) Chipper, 3B
4) McCann, C
5) Glaus, 1B
6) Hinske, LF
7) Escobar, SS
8) Blanco, CF
9) Jurrjens, SP
