After last night's spectacular comeback, the Braves will try to continue their series-winning ways in the rubber game of the 3-game set against the Marlins. Hopefully they can win this one without the dramatics. A good starting pitching performance would go a long way toward helping in that cause; in the first two games, Braves starters gave up 9 runs in less than 12 innings. I think Jair Jurrjens is up to the task, though. He's certainly pitched well since returning from the disabled list.
Jurrjens will face Chris Volstad, who was just called up from his minors rehab today and will start (instead of Ricky Nolasco, who was originally scheduled for today). Getting Volstad instead of Nolasco has to be considered a nice break for the Braves. He has just a 4.78 ERA this year (4.29 FIP).
Bobby rewarded Brooks Conrad with a start (at 3B in place of Chipper). McLouth haters will be happy to note that Melky is playing CF today instead. Here's the rest of the Braves' lineup:
1) Prado, 2B
2) Heyward, RF
3) Hinske, LF
4) McCann, C
5) Glaus, 1B
6) Gonzalez, SS
7) Conrad, 3B
8) Cabrera, CF
9) Jurrjens, SP
