From the mother-ship, great info about Billy Wagner:

Since 1901, there have only been six seasons in which a pitcher threw at least 50 innings at 38 or older and struck out more than 11 batters per nine innings. Wagner's the only one to exceed 12. He's the only one to exceed 13. Wagner's in a spot all his own.

I'm still disappointed that Wagner says he want's to retire at season's end. He will likely regret this in a couple of years. He's walking away from one heck of a renaissance. A couple more seasons close to this one and he could certainly be talked about as a serious Hall of Fame candidate. Besides, I really like the look of him in a Braves uniform, and I like the possibility of a Kimbrel, Venters, Wagner, 7th, 8th, and 9th even more!

By the way, you should check out who is second in K/9.
