After winning three out of four against the San Francisco Giants, Atlanta kept up its winning ways with a three-game sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Some notes:
Dan Uggla went 3-9 for the series, but two of those hits were home runs. Both home runs came in Saturday's game.
Craig Kimbrel picked up two saves during the three game series in dominant fashion, recording five of the six outs by strikeout.
Michael Bourn had a great series, going 5-13 with a home run and a great defensive play in center field during game two of the series.
Chipper Jones only played in the first two games of the series, but picked up four hits total in those two games including a home run. He also confirmed that he will return for the 2012 season which is great news.
Braves starting pitchers combined for a line of 18 IP, 11 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 6 BB, and 21 K's. Can't ask for much more than that.
Jose Constanza went 1-9 with two runs scored for the series. He may be finally coming back down to earth.
The Braves bullpen combined to give up only two runs in nine innings of work while striking 11.
Up next: Atlanta heads to Chicago for a four-game series against the Cubs.
