Christian Marrero had a 3 hit night that included a double, drove in 3 runs, and stole his first base of the season. He extended his hitting streak to 5 games, going 9-20 with 2 doubles, a homer, and 6 RBI in that span. Joey Terdoslavich extended his own hitting streak to 6 games, going 7-22 with a double, a homer, 5 walks, and 2 RBI in those games. Jose Constanza tripled for the third straight game. Buddy Carlyle was great in relief, striking out 4 over 3 scoreless innings, giving him 7 strikeouts in 8.2 scoreless innings over 3 appearances this season.

David Hale tossed 6 no-hit innings and combined with Andrew Russell, Ryan Bucther, Mark Lamm for a 2 hit shutout. After allowing 6 earned runs in just 1.2 innings in his first start, Hale was nearly perfect in this one, striking out 5 Biscuits while picking up his first win of the season. Andrelton Simmons had a 3 hit day that included a triple and a stolen base, hopefully showing he's over the hip injury that hampered him at the end of Spring Training. Ian Gac rapped out a 3 hit day as well that included a double and a triple, and also drove in 3 runs.

Ronan Pacheco tossed 4 shutout innings in his first start of the year, but he didn't have any control in this one, walking 7 while allowing 8 runs, 6 earned, in just 3 innings. Evan Gattis extended his hitting streak to 6 games, homering for the second straight night. During the streak, he's gone 10-19 with 2 doubles, 2 homers, 4 walks, and 8 RBI. His defense is still a work in progress though, as he allowed his fourth passed ball in his fourth game behind the plate. Edward Salcedo reached base 3 times, with a pair of doubles and a walk.

JR Graham will start for the Hillcats on Saturday.

Kyle Kubitza had a 2 hit day that included a double and also reached on a walk. In his last 4 games, he's gone 6-16 with a double, 2 homers, and 3 RBI.
