Open Thread 4/23: Braves at Dodgers

Jair Jurrjens (6 starts, 3-1, 3.06 ERA vs. Dodgers) vs. Chris Capuano (8 starts, 4-3, 2.82 ERA vs. Braves)

Fredi thought Pastornicky hadn't watched enough video, so Jack Wilson is starting again.

  1. Michael Bourn - CF
  2. Martin Prado - 3B
  3. Freddie Freeman - 1B
  4. Dan Uggla - 2B
  5. Matt Diaz - LF
  6. Jason Heyward - RF
  7. David Ross - C
  8. Jack Wilson - SS

Anyone remember that complete-game, two-hit shutout last year against the Braves when Capuano struck out 13 batters? Me neither.

Matt Kemp only has a .231 career batting avg. against the Braves in 35 games in contrast to Andre Ethier (.323 avg. in 38 games) and Juan Rivera (.362 in 21 games); Ethier is 5-for-11 against Jurrjens with seven walks; Juan Uribe is 3-for-7 with two doubles and a home run against Jurrjens: a 1.698 OPS.

Jurrjens has yet to record an out in the sixth inning in each of his first three starts, but in two of those starts, he didn't even make it out of the fifth. In his most recent start against the Dodgers, he allowed only one run in six innings April 21, 2011.
