Ronan Pacheco continues to struggle, allowing 4 runs and 4 walks in 4 innings. Rome set some ugly records tonight, allowing the most runs, 24, and hits, 24, in team history. Starter Carlos Perez allowed 7 run in just 2 innings, and in his last 3 starts he has a 22.00 ERA and a 3.88 WHIP. Ernesto Silva followed him, allowing another 7 runs in 3 innings of work, ballooning his ERA from 3.17 to 6.91. Cole Rohrbough had tossed 5 scoreless innings over 5 appearances to start the season, but he allowed 4 runs in 1.2 innings of work tonight. Joe Lucas had not made a scoreless appearance this season, and he continued that trend tonight, allowing 3 runs in 1.1 innings, giving him a 7.88 ERA and a 2.13 WHIP on the year. Things got so bad that the R-Braves turned to second baseman Fernando de los Santo to pitch the final inning, and he allowed 3 runs as well. It's hard to believe anything positive happened for Rome today, but Edison Sanchez had a 3 hit day and drove in both of the team's runs.

Rafael Bricenio will face the red hot Suns tomorrow.
