Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers - April 25, 2012 | MLB.com ATL Recap
Five consecutive one-out hits off Dodgers closer Javy Guerra led to a 4-2 win that nearly left a sentimental Chipper Jones speechless. "I was like a schoolkid out there," Jones said. "That's what you play the game for. It's moments like that. You don't know how many times I've rehearsed that very moment in my backyard, only I was a Dodger. It's indescribable."

Braves quotes after comeback win at L.A. | AJC Braves
Brian McCann: "It’s kind of been the same for the last two or three years. This team has won a lot of ballgames, and we’ve come back, we’ve held leads … we feel like we’ve got a great team top to bottom, and we feel like nights like this will happen quite a few times because of the hitters we have in our lineup."

Kimbrel turns over 'goody bag' to Gearrin | braves.com: News
With Gearrin present, Kimbrel no longer has the least big league service time among the members of the Braves' bullpen. As long as this arrangement stays in place, the Braves closer will not be responsible for the "goody" bag that is carried to the bullpen on a nightly basis. "He couldn't wait for me to get in here to hand that thing off," Gearrin said. "I wasn't even in from the field yet. He met me at the top of the stairs. He just couldn't wait to get rid of it."

Hudson will make 2012 debut on Sunday | braves.com: News
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Tim Hudson will make his regular-season debut on Sunday against the Pirates. The Braves were open to the possibility of Hudson waiting one additional day to make his return. But the 36-year-old veteran had no problems after throwing 110 pitches and completing 5 2/3 innings in his final Minor League rehab start on Sunday.

Hitting coach, Chipper like what they see | AJC Braves
"I just think we’ve got a lot of people that feel good about themselves," Walker said. "They’re fighting as a unit, not giving at-bats away. And when you get a bunch of guys that are talented fighting through at-bats — quality at-bats – you get results. So yeah, I’m pleased. We’ve got a long way to go. We’re not naïve to that fact. But we’re pleased. The guys are working. They’ve got great attitudes about the game. They can’t wait to get to the ballpark every day, and we’re playing good."

Jurrjens on demotion: "Nobody to blame but myself" | AJC Braves
"If you’re honest with yourself, I have nobody to blame but myself," said Jurrjens, who was 0-2 with a 9.37 ERA in four starts this season. "I cannot be mad at anybody other than me." Jurrjens called it a "reality check," and said it hasn’t been easy.
