Hudson’s gem wasted in 1-0 loss to shifty Cubs | Atlanta Braves
"The shift won them the game today," said Braves third baseman Chipper Jones, who had two potential hits taken away by defenders aligned out of position, yet perfectly positioned. "It lost them the game last night. So, you live with it you’re going to die by it."
Braves quotes after Wednesday loss to Cubs | Atlanta Braves
David Ross on Tim Hudson: "He shouldn’t have given up a hit. He was as dominant as ever. Stuff-wise, he was as good as I’ve ever caught him. Four years here, nobody’s thrown the ball like he was throwing. I was catching and I didn’t feel like he should have given up a hit. It stinks we didn’t score for him.
Chipper and his love-hate relationship with Wrigley Field
"It’s been tough sledding here for me," Jones said. "But I think when it’s all said and done with, Wrigley Field is good for baseball, because it’s a throwback. It’s the second-oldest stadium still standing. Having that tradition and that feel when you walk down the halls is something that I think players still enjoy experiencing."

"It's nice knowing that every time Timmy pitches I might be out there," Wilson said. "It's like a schedule. I'm on schedule. It's nice."
Martin takes no-hitter into seventh | MiLB.com News | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball
A bad outing two weeks ago has led to newfound success for Cody Martin. The Braves' prospect Martin took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as Class A Advanced Lynchburg blanked Wilmington, 1-0, on Wednesday. After recording 13 straight outs, Martin allowed a leadoff single to Angel Franco. Atlanta's seventh-round pick in the 2011 Draft gave up a single to Brian Fletcher, but completed the seventh with the shutout intact.
