Washington Nationals At Atlanta Braves: Open Thread

The Nationals head down south tonight for the first of 18 meetings with the Braves. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35. Tonight's game will pit Tim Hudson against Ross Detwiler. Detwiler was hit hard by the Padres in his last turn, so hopefully the Braves can keep up the pressure on Washington's lefty. Lineups are as follows:

  1. Michael Bourn, CF
  2. Martin Prado, 3B
  3. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  4. Dan Uggla, 2B
  5. Matt Diaz, LF
  6. Jason Heyward, RF
  7. David Ross, C
  8. Jack Wilson, SS
  9. Tim Hudson, P
Martin Prado moves down to play third in order to get Matt Diaz in the lineup against a lefty. Freeman's back in the lineup after vision issues caused him to miss the last game. David Ross starts behind the plate as McCann is still a bit under the weather. Jack Wilson gets his routine start behind Tim Hudson, giving Pastornicky a breather.

Nationals lineup after the jump

The Nationals line things up like this tonight:

  1. Steve Lombardozzi, LF
  2. Bryce Harper, RF
  3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B
  4. Adam LaRoche, 1B
  5. Ian Desmond, SS
  6. Danny Espinosa, 2B
  7. Rick Ankiel, CF
  8. Jesus Flores, C
  9. Ross Detwiler, P
