Braves quotes after Tuesday’s win against Cubs | Atlanta Braves
Fredi Gonzalez, on Delgado: "Very good. Back-to-back outings for him that were exceptional. Just too bad that he couldn’t line up for the win. Soriano had a helluva at-bat against him to get that double down the line and run him out of there with no decision. But I’m real pleased with the way he pitched today. "He did a nice job and then the bullpen did a terrific job. O’Flaherty came in to get the lefty Stewart out, then Medlen and Venters… How ‘bout that play Wilson made? It’s first and third and you’re staring at Soriano in a two-run game in the eighth inning if we don’t turn that double play. Not many guys can do that. Wow…. Turned the game around."
Uggla’s 8th-inning hit lifts Braves past Cubs | Atlanta Braves
"Delgado’s been battling and throwing great," Uggla said. "Tonight he really pitched his butt off and gave us a chance to win. I hate that we couldn’t get him a ‘w,’ but I’m sure he’ll be OK. He’s a great kid and just wants to win."

"I made pretty good pitches tonight," Wood said. "The walk to [Brian] McCann with a base open, I'm not going to give in to him. I made a good pitch I thought to Uggla and turned around and we had the shift on, and when things are going bad, you don't get breaks, and I didn't get any tonight. I'll be ready to go tomorrow."
Wait, what? You didn't know your team had a shift on? That's so Cubs.
Braves not concerned about O'Flaherty | braves.com: News
"There isn't anything glaring or crazy," Gonzalez said. "Anytime you [post a 0.98 ERA] and then all of a sudden you give up some runs, people are going to wonder, 'What's the matter with you?' But I think he's fine."
Offense humming despite McCann ‘ups and downs’ | Atlanta Braves
"I feel all right, man," McCann said. "I’ve had a couple of good games, couple of bad games, you know? I definitely could be doing a lot better, but I’m not getting discouraged on where I’m at, to be honest with you. My numbers aren’t there, but at the same time I don’t feel bad at the plate."
