Last night's game sucked all different kinds of sucky suckiness, so Hudson needs to go out there and beat some Yankees to avoid a sweep! He said he feels fine after taking a cortisone shot and anti-inflammatory medicine for his left ankle.
In only three of Kuroda's 12 starts this year has he allowed more than three runs and he's gone at least seven innings in each of his last three starts. However, he's 1-4 in six road starts this year with a 4.17 ERA. He's lost both his starts at Turner Field despite allowing just three runs.
Cory Gearrin was optioned back to Gwinnett. Anthony Varvaro has been recalled. Eric O'Flaherty has missed some time with elbow issues, which are never good, but hopes to return to action no later than Monday. Freeman's left thumb has been bothering him, hence Eric Hinske at 1B today.
