Gone Fishin': Braves at Marlins Open Thread

The Braves open a 3 game set with the Marlins in Miami tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 EST. Tim Hudson takes the mound for Atlanta against Anibal Sanchez, who has arguably been the Marlins best pitcher to this point in the season. Tonight sees the return of Brian McCann, who missed the series finale with Washington due to a bruised knee.

Braves Lineup

  1. Michael Bourn, CF
  2. Martin Prado, 3B
  3. Brian McCann, C
  4. Dan Uggla, 2B
  5. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  6. Jason Heyward, RF
  7. Andrelton Simmons, SS
  8. Tim Hudson, P
  9. Jose Constanza, LF

McCann is back and immediately slots into the 3 hole. Reversing what had been a trend with Tyler Pastornicky at short, Andrelton Simmons will get the start behind Tim Hudson - I'd bet Huddy is pretty pleased with that. Fredi continues to experiment with batting the pitcher 8th, and having Constanza hit 9th. Constanza is 6-14 with 1 double, no walks, and 3 strikeouts since his call up.

Marlins lineup after the jump

Marlins Lineup

  1. Jose Reyes, SS
  2. Omar Infante, 2B
  3. Hanley Ramirez, 3B
  4. Giancarlo Stanton, RF
  5. Logan Morrison, 1B
  6. Bryan Peterson, CF
  7. John Buck, C
  8. Chris Coughlan, LF
  9. Anibal Sanchez, P
Jose Reyes is working on a 14 game hit streak and will lead off for the Fish. Our old pal Omar Infante bats second. Logan Morrison, who is being tried out at first after the demotion of Gaby Sanchez, bats fifth.
