David Hale had a phenomenal start, striking out a season high 11 batters over 7.2 innings. As always, you have to hope Hale can build on this start and have another positive outing next time out. On May 15th he tossed 6 shutout innings, then allowed 12 earned runs in 13.2 innings over 3 starts leading up to tonight, so hopefully that trend doesn't repeat itself. Phil Gosselin was 2-3, and in his last 3 games he's gone 5-10 with 2 walks.
