Slumpbusting: Braves At Nats Open Thread

The Braves try to salvage their series with the Nationals today during the finale. Kris Medlen will start for Atlanta and Washington will counter with lefty Ross Detwiler.

Braves Lineup:

  1. Martin Prado, LF
  2. Reed Johnson, CF
  3. Jason Heyward, RF
  4. Chipper Jones, 3B
  5. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  6. David Ross, C
  7. Tyler Pastornicky, 2B
  8. Paul Janish, SS
  9. Kris Medlen, P
Michael Bourn gets the day off and is replaced by Reed Johnson. Prado will slide up and bat leadoff, while Johnson will hit in the 2-hole. I really like this move, since Martin has had some problems with double plays of late. Brian McCann and Dan Uggla both get the day off, with David Ross replacing McCann and batting 6th, while Tyler Pastornicky replaces Uggla and hits 7th. I like these moves too - McCann and Uggla were both on the struggle bus, while Ross and P'Nicky have consistently performed when used over the last month.
