Lynchburg won tonight, but they remain 2.5 games behind Wilmington with 6 games to go. Regardless of how they finish the second half, the Hillcats won the first half division title, and will play in the postseason starting September 5th. Rome also won, and they have a 4 game lead with 7 games left in their season. Danville will begin its postseason tomorrow with a 3 game series against Elizabethton.
Gwinnett Braves - Postponed, Rain
The G-Braves changed their game time from 7:05 to 2:05 to attempt to avoid the rain, but the change didn't help, as rain washed out their game against the Pawtucket Red Sox. The teams will attempt to play on Wednesday at 1:05, and the G-Braves have made admission to the game free. So if you live in the Atlanta area tomorrow is a great day to head up to Lawrenceville and see some AAA baseball, especially with 2011 1st round pick Sean Gilmartin scheduled to start.
Mississippi Braves - Off
Due to Hurricane Isaac, the M-Braves won't play again until Friday.
