Atlanta wrapped up a ten-game road trip by dropping two of three to the San Diego Padres, ending the trip at 4-6. Notes:

Padres rookie Casey Kelly made his debut Monday night in fine fashion, striking out four and allowing three hits in six scoreless innings.

Atlanta went 1-14 with runners in scoring position during the series, which makes it really tough to win games.

The one real bright spot for the Braves during this series was Kris Medlen, who was fantastic yet again. He struck out nine in eight innings of work, and stretched his scoreless inning streak to 28.1 innings.

Martin Prado and Dan Uggla were the only two Braves to record at least one hit in all three games. Prado went 4-12, while Uggla went 3-10. His home run during game two of the series was Uggla's 1000th career hit.

Logan Forsythe had himself a nice series at the plate, going 5-11 with two doubles.

The Braves struck out an incredible 24 times and scored just four runs during the three-game set.
