Pie, Rohm, And Peraza Extend Hitting Streaks And Spruill, Silva, And Cabrera Make Solid Starts In Tuesday's Atlanta Braves Minor League Action

Felix Pie, Dan Brewer, David Rohm, Levi Hyams, and Jose Peraza all extended hitting streaks, while Zeke Spruill, Ernesto Silva, Mauricio Cabrera, and Jaden Dillon all had solid starts.

Stefan Gartrell doubled and tripled today, and he's been on fire since the All-Star break, hitting .342 with a 1.020 OPS, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 5 homers, and 14 RBI. In his last 2 games, Terry Tiffee has gone 4-8 with 2 RBI. Yohan Flande tossed 13 shutout innings in his last 2 starts, but allowed 3 earned in 5 innings today, though he still managed to pick up his sixth win of the year. Since joining Gwinnett, Andrew Russell has a 2.13 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP in 12.2 innings over 10 appearances, continuing a fine season that saw the 28 year old sidearming Australian righty post a 2.35 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP in 38.1 innings over 34 appearances with Mississippi before his promotion. Christian Bethancourt reached base twice tonight, but he's gone just 3-25 in his last 6 games. Joey Terdoslavich had 2 hits for the second straight game, and in his last 10 games, he's hitting .351 with a 1.058 OPS, 4 doubles, 2 triples, 1 homer, and 9 RBI.

Mississippi heads home tomorrow to begin a series against the Birmingham Barons. Brent Leach is scheduled to start the opener.

David Rohm also had his third straight multi-hit game, and also extended his hitting streak to 5 games, going 10-21 with a triple, a homer, a RBI, and a walk during that stretch. In his last 10 appearances, Carlos Perez has a 1.29 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 33 strikeouts in 21 innings. Bryam Garcia has picked up a save in 3 straight appearances, and he snapped a streak that saw him allow an earned run in each of his last 4 appearances. Jose Peraza went 2-7 with 2 RBI in the doubleheader, extending his hitting streak to 6 games, going 7-21 with 7 RBI and 4 steals during that streak. Carlos Franco went 2-6 in the doubleheader, and in his last 10 games, he's hitting .351 with a .887 OPS. Patrick Scoggin struck out the side in an inning of work, and the 21 year old, signed as an undrafted free agent this summer, has struck out 7 in 5.2 scoreless innings, walking none and allowing just 2 hits, over 5 appearances. Cody Livesay singled and drove in a run, snapping a 0-17 skid over his last 9 games. Robinson Arno singled and walked, snapping a 2-19 skid over his last 7 games. Hector Garcia reached base 3 times, with a single, a walk, and a hit by pitch, and over his last 10 games, he's hitting .276 with a .708 OPS, 2 doubles, and 5 RBI.
