Report: Tim Hudson Drawing Interest From Royals and Indians

The Veteran May be Headed Back to the American League

USA TODAY Sports

According to Braves.com reporter Mark Bowman, Tim Hudson is being looked at quite aggressively by Kansas City and Cleveland.

The Braves are locked in at three rotation spots going into next year with Kris Medlen, Julio Teheran, and Mike Minor. There are two spots available, between David Hale, Alex Wood, Brandon Beachy, and anyone else they would look to bring in. With Beachy's elbow issues, the Braves may look to have a guy like Hudson on the back end who is rather reliable. However, I do not think the Braves would be willing to get in a bidding war for a back end guy. I am sure they would love to have Hudson's veteran presence in their rotation, but I am also sure that Wren is looking to add a top end guy as much as anything else this offseason.

The Braves do not have a need for Hudson, but it would be good for him to come back to Atlanta and end his career here. The Royals and Indians are looking to solidify the middle of their rotation probably more so than the Braves. With as much interest that Hudson is currently drawing, I am becoming less and less confident that he will be in Atlanta next season.
