As baseball's offseason basically began on Monday, the Braves announced that Reed Johnson's 2014 option was declined. If accepted, Atlanta would've paid the 37-year-old outfielder $1.6 million next season. The two settled on a $150K buyout.
While the option wasn't picked up, there's apparently still a chance he would come back, though it would have to be for less money.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I don't think he'll be back in 2014, but we'll see.
Johnson came to Atlanta as part of the Paul Maholm trade. He appeared in 114 games and recorded 223 at-bats while splitting time at the three outfield positions. While he didn't exactly have a huge role in the offense, his OPS+ of 74 the last two seasons was pretty mediocre.
