Braves Winter League Roundup: 12/15

Many players have finished up their individual winter league seasons

Many players have wrapped up their respective winter league seasons and have headed home until Spring Training.

Dominican Winter League

  • Christian Bethancourt: 16G, .226/.276/.340, 3BB/12K – Bethancourt did not appear in any games this week.
  • Edward Salcedo: 7G, .174/.208/.217, BB/5K – Salcedo did not appear in any games this week.
  • Omar Luna: 0-7, 3K – Luna did not appear in any games this week.
  • Joey Terdoslavich: 18G, .328/.371/.531, 5BB/14K – Terdoslavich continued his impressive winter league performance, reaching base in four of five games this week. He knocked his second home run of the season, following it up with a two and three hit performance on the weekend. His winter league numbers are almost identical to his Triple-A numbers from this past season.
  • Jose Constanza: 6G, .190/.227/.190, BB/K – Constanza did not appear in any games this week.
  • Gustavo Nunez: 7G, .275/.356/.300 – The switch hitting Nunez reached base five times this week, knocking a double, three singles and a walk. The glove first shortstop will likely spend the majority of the 2014 season in the upper minors.
  • Wifrin Obispo: 19.2IP, 9H, 5ER, 11BB, 21K – Obispo made a handful of outings, but was a bit wild, issuing five walks compared to four strikeouts. It has been over a month since Obispo has surrendered a run under his watch.
  • Ronan Pacheco: IP, H, 0ER, 0BB, 0K – Pacheco did not appear in any games this week.
  • Luis Vasquez: 17IP, 4H, 2ER, 3BB, 19K – Another solid week for the 97 mph'er side armer. ICYMI.
  • Mitch Atkins: 7.2IP, 6H, 2ER, 0BB, 5K – Atkins did not appear in any games this week.

Venezuelan Winter League

  • Ernesto Mejia: 49G, .266/.388/.447, 32BB/49K – Mejia found himself behind a eight hits, all singles, this past week in Venezuela. The recently turned 28-year-old has played a staggering 49 games thus far this winter.
  • Emerson Landoni 1-3, BB – Landoni did not appear in any games this week.
  • Jose Yepez: 20G, .190/.333/.381 8BB/7K – Yepez did not appear in any gems this week.

Mexican Winter League

  • Daniel Castro: 30G, .192/.263/.308, 4BB/13K – Castro walked twice this week, but went hitless otherwise in three games.
  • Joey Meneses: 12G, .323/.371/.484, 3BB/11K – Menses did not appear in any games this week.
  • Ryan Buchter: 13IP, 5H, ER, 8BB, 26K – Buchter did not appear in any games this week.
  • Ryan Hinson: 48.2IP, 41H, 25ER, 24B, 30K – Hinson did not appear in any games this week.
  • Mark Lamm: 3.1IP, 4H, 3ER, 5BB, 3K – Lamm did not appear in any games this week.
  • Daniel Rodriguez: 26.1IP, 19H, 6ER, 7BB, 30K – Rodriguez had a two start week. He surrendered one run in his first outing and three in yesterday's start. Rodriguez has always been able to rack up the strikeouts against lower level of play, but hasn't been able to perform well enough against the upper level minors to get a shot in the bigs.
Australian Baseball League
  • Matt Kellenny: 16G, .302/.365/.524, 7BB/3K – Kennelly had a big week, going 6-12 with a double. The Aussie native also reached three times via walk.
  • Andrew Russell: 12.2IP, 8H, 8ER, 6BB, 7K – Russell did not appear in any games this week.
Puerto Rican Winter League
  • Victor Caratini: 0-1, K – Caratini did not appear in any games this week.
  • Bryan De La Rosa: 0-1 – De La Rosa did not appear in any games this week.
