After dropping yesterday's game to the Cardinals 5-4, the Braves return to the Wide World of Sports to take on the Mets in the 22nd game of Spring Training, at 1:05 PM EDT today. Tim Hudson will take the mound for Atlanta this afternoon, making his 5th start of the spring. Hudson's had a rough spring so far, allowing 10 runs across 14 innings, though 6 of those came in his last outing against the Marlins. Hudson should be just fine for the start the season. After Hudson, Eric O'Flaherty, Cory Gearrin, and Cristhian Martinez are scheduled to come out of the bullpen.
For those of you who missed it on Twitter, everyone's favorite speedster Jose Constanza finally arrived in camp this morning. Constanza told Braves' reporters that he was last on the list of Dominican baseball players attempting to obtain an exit visa. Constanza will now try his best to wrest a roster spot away from Jordan Schafer, who has been decently impressive in trying to lock up a roster spot as the 5th outfielder while Constanza was stuck in the Dominican.
Also this morning, the Braves continued making cuts, as they optioned Ernesto Mejia to AAA and reassigned Matt Kennelly, Elmer Reyes, and Todd Cunningham to minor league camp.
The Braves lineup today behind Tim Hudson hasn't been posted yet. We'll put it up when it is.
Today's game will be televised on Fox Sports South and streamed on MLB.tv. You can also catch it on the radio on WFOM 1230 and WFIN 1340.
