After a strong outing by Julio Teheran in a loss to the Tigers last night, the Braves have their first split squad games of the spring today. Fredi Gonzalez will send half his team - including his starting infield - to take on the Houston Astros, while the remainder will stay behind and welcome the Toronto Blue Jays to the Wide World of Sports.
Kris Medlen will take the ball against the Jays and Josh Johnson, while Sean Gilmartin will get his first start of the spring against the Astros and Jordan Lyles. After Medlen, Cory Rasmus, David Hale, Gus Schlosser, and J.R. Graham are scheduled to get work. Scheduled behind Gilmartin is Cory Gearrin, Cristhian Martinez, David Carpenter, and Yohan Flande.
Today's game against the Blue Jays can be heard on WFOM 1230 or WFIN 1340. The game against the Astros will be streamed on MLB.tv.
