Gwinnett Beats Nats, 2-1

It was easily the worst lineup of season.

With three regulars in the lineup - B.J. Upton, Freddie Freeman, and Chris Johnson - the Braves still managed to beat the Washington Nationals to take yet another series from their division rivals. The main reason was a strong start from Julio Teheran. Despite allowing the first two runners of each of the first three innings to reach base, Teheran managed to work his way out of them without a run scoring. Overall, he went six innings and gave up five hits and three walks while striking out five.

The Braves managed to support him with two runs in the first inning, but that was all they could manage. B.J. Upton walked to lead off the game, and after he stole a base, Phil Gosselin recorded his first major-league hit with a sacrifice bunt that turned into a bunt single - Gosselin would later add a more legit hit up the middle. Freddie Freeman, of course, followed with an RBI single. Evan Gattis would roll into a double play on his birthday, but Chris Johnson picked him up with an RBI single to bring home Gosselin.

The rest of the game was pretty ho-hum. The Nationals would add a run in the seventh, but that's all they would get. Craig Kimbrel would come in to finish off Washington, and he fittingly struck out Bryce Harper to end it.
