When you’re playing the Mets with a 15 game lead in the middle of August, sometimes you (read, I) get sidetracked during games. Last night was one of those nights.
I found myself scrolling through the Twitter feed of the one and only Jordan Schafer, stumbling upon this classic tweet from a little over 16 months ago…
Ummmm what's wrong w this pic? I just washed the entire Tide bottle.....where's my head at today pic.twitter.com/ir9G6ZNh
— Jordan Schafer (@JordanSchafer) April 3, 2012
At first glance, one would think this is just an amusing Jordan Schafer blunder. However, at second glance, it appears Schafer did not actually perform the act described in said tweet. Considering the top of what appears to be a bed sheet is not even wet, along with the fact there is water collected at the bottom of the washer, and not even bringing up the fact any reasonable adult knows that is not what a load of laundry looks like after it has been sent through a wash cycle, Schafer appears to simply have placed the Tide bottle in the washer and snapped away.
Ironically, it’s not the image presented that makes him look foolish, but for trying to pull a fast one on us viewers. Or maybe it’s not foolish, and Schafer is simply playing Twitter chess while the rest of us are playing checkers. Either way, thank you Jordan.
