Johnson keeps hitting; Braves win 4-1 to sweep Phillies, run win streak to 10

It's not often that a team has more than one 10-game winning streak in a single season, but the Braves accomplished just that with a 4-1 win over the Phillies, completing a three-game sweep.

Atlanta hitters wasted little time scoring against Cliff Lee, whose start was pushed back because of a sore neck. With Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman in scoring position in the first inning, Chris Johnson continued his hot hitting with a two-run single, giving Alex Wood an early lead.

Carlos Ruiz appeared to have rescued one of those two runs back with a home run leading off the third inning; the call was overturned when the ball was revealed to have hit the screen on top of the wall. Despite the call, Ruiz still scored later in the inning on a groundout.

Oddly enough, Atlanta had a home run taken away as well. B.J. Upton hammered a fly ball to right, and the call made on this one was more inconclusive than the one on Ruiz's fly ball. It was so inconclusive that umpires took a good four minutes to overturn the home run, ruled because of fan interference. In the end, it didn't matter because B.J. would score on a Heyward single and Heyward would score from first on a double by Justin Upton.

Alex Wood gave up just two hits in six innings; he walked two and struck out three for his second win of the year. Atlanta chased Lee after five innings.

This current 10-game winning streak is the second such streak for the Braves, who became just the second team in 35 years (2001 Cardinals) to have multiple 10-game winning streaks in a single season.
