David Hale turned in an good start for Gwinnett, but the G-Braves' bats could only muster 5 hits against the Tides as they were shut out. Hale went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on only 5 hits. He walked one and struck out 6. Matt Pagnozzi was the only G-Brave to reach more than once, which should say everything about this game. Jordan Schafer was 0-4 in his rehab.

Despite 10 hits, Mississippi could only push 1 run across last night. The big story was Tommy La Stella's hitting streak, which came to an end at 23 games. Ian Thomas had a good start but walked too many men, issuing 3 free passes in just over 5 innings of work. He also struck out 7, however. Shae Simmons made his Mississippi debut with a scoreless inning.

Lynchburg knocked off the Dash 6-4 last night behind a 4 hit game from shortstop Elmer Reyes. Trenton Moses chipped in with a pair of doubles as well, while Matt Lipka and Kyle Kubitza each notched multi-hit games. Williams Perez was dancing in and out of trouble all night, but 6 strikeouts helped him to avoid more damage.

Mauricio Cabrera turning in an excellent start, but the bullpen let him down. Cabrera tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, striking out 4 en route to a no decision. Eric Garcia had an excellent game, going 2-5 with a double, a homer, and a walk. Kyle Wren reached base three times and swiped his 22nd bag of the year. He was also thrown out for only the third time all year as well.

Danville got waxed by Burlington last night, thanks largely in part to Matt Kimbrel, who gave up 6 runs in 2/3rds of an inning. Jared Dettmann started and was let down by several defensive errors leading to 4 unearned runs. Mikey Reynolds, now hitting leadoff, reached base 3 times. So did Victor Caratini. Victor Reyes, playing his first game with Danville since a promotion from the GCL, hit 3rd and played LF. He went 1-5.

The GCL Braves lost last night after 2013 draftee Ian Stiffler allowed 3 runs in 1.2 innings. That left the bullpen a ton of innings to pitch, but they handled it well. Carlos Salazar tossing a scoreless inning. Ian Hagenmiller hit his first professional triple. Reed Harper and Connor Oliver both notched multi-hit games at the top of the order, while Fernelys Sanchez chipped in with a double.
