Jim Fregosi, a front office official with the Braves and a former player and manager of multiple teams passed away today after a stroke.
Fregosi has spent the past 13 years as a special assistant to the general manager for the Braves. As a player he played 18 seasons with a .265/.338/.398 line primarily as a shortstop -- amassing a very respectable 44.2 WAR.
He was loved by many in the game, and it is truly sad to see such a great baseball man go. Rest in peace Jim.
