Kris Medlen has always seemed like a goofy, fun guy in the Braves clubhouse. But this morning he got a bit more serious as he completely shaved his head for the Rally Foundation, an Atlanta-based organization that focuses on childhood cancer research and awareness.
Medlen had his head shaved on the field in Orlando as part of RallyVsCancer. The before and afters are hilariously startling:

Asked by Ron Gant how it felt to have his head shaved, Medlen said, "I feel like John Smoltz." pic.twitter.com/oLTFeeCxoz

Medlen donated $10,000 to the Rally Foundation and will be matching the same amount for others participating in other head-shaving events. What a great cause and great guy.
