The Atlanta Braves are officially headed to Lake Buena Vista, Fla. for spring training, their equipment that is. Check out the photos of the team gear being hauled off from Turner Field on Saturday. This coming Thursday pitchers and catchers will report to Champion Stadium with the first full team workout on Feb. 19.
Third baseman Chris Johnson held down the hot corner extremely well for the Braves in their first season without Chipper Jones, as he finished second in the NL batting title race. He will take the same approach as he did last spring training in 2014.

After being a constant name brought up in trade talks this off-season Jeff Samardzija signed back with the Chicago Cubs on a one-year, $5.345 million deal Saturday afternoon. The 29-year old remains one of the hardest throwing starters in the league with his fastball clocked in at 94-98 mph on average.
Paul Maholm, known for his 58-mph curve that struck out Chase Utley, signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the L.A. Dodgers. The signing of the crafty lefty by Magic Johnson's team indicates they are not sold on their fifth starter just yet.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have yet to hold a press conference upon the signing of 37-year-old veteran starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo, as he still must undergo a physical examination. D-backs players are very happy and ready to welcome him at camp.
