Evan Gattis apparently hadn't had enough fish to feast on.
Gattis came off the bench for more pinch-hit heroics, and the Braves win the series finale with the Marlins by a score of 3-1.
This series has featured plenty of strikeouts, and this game just piled more of them on. Nate Eovaldi struck out seven Braves in six innings, giving up only Ryan Doumit's RBI single in the fourth to score Chris Johnson, who had reached base on a throwing error.
Aaron Harang mastered the Marlins for six innings, striking out 11. The Miami offense couldn't touch him until the sixth with a pair of two-out hits: after Marcell Ozuna singled, Giancarlo Stanton's pop-up dropped in the middle of no-man's land in left to score the tying run.
Miami threatened in the seventh against Harang, but Jordan Walden struck out three in a row. Luis Avilan and David Carpenter squashed a Marlins rally in the eighth.
Following a walk and an infield hit in the bottom of the eighth, Gattis did what he does often, and that is hit fastballs. A.J. Ramos tried sneaking one past him, but it was hammered for a two-run double.
That was more than enough for Craig Kimbrel, who returned to his old self, striking out two in an uneventful ninth inning.
