It's Getaway Day for the Braves in Colorado, which means that it's time for a nice afternoon game between the Braves and the Rockies. Since it's Getaway Day, that also means that we get to see Getaway Day lineups, which explains what you'll see below.
Chris Johnson has returned to the cleanup spot for the first time since the early parts of the season. This is due to the absence of both Justin Upton and Evan Gattis, who are taking off days while Jordan Schafer and Gerald Laird take their place. Meanwhile, the Rockies have gotten into the spirit of things by sitting Troy Tulowitzki for the day.
The two starting pitchers will be Ervin Santana and Jhoulys Chacin. Santana had a pretty nice bounce-back start in his last appearance against the Diamondbacks (even though the Braves lost that one, it wasn't his fault by a long shot), while Chacin has been riding the struggle bus for most of this season. Normally this would be the part where I make a positive prediction for the Braves, but after last night when Julio Teheran got roughed up while Tyler Matzek pitched a gem, I don't know up from down and left from right after that, so let's just hope for the best today, okay?
Here's the lineups:
And here are the gory details on Chacin's season so far:
